Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2025  ·  ContraMinds Labs

This Privacy Policy describes how ContraMinds Labs ("ContraMinds", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when you use MyTrueCompass — our Career Intelligence platform available at mytruecompass.in and related subdomains (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account registration details: name, email address, phone number (optional), and professional background.
  • Assessment responses: your answers to the eight structured diagnostic assessments across the seven capability domains of the Invisible Curriculum.
  • Accountability inputs: goals you set, weekly review entries, and pattern-tagged progress notes.
  • Voice inputs: if you use voice entry via Sarvam AI, audio is transcribed and the resulting text is stored. Raw audio is not retained.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers or full payment credentials.
  • Communications: any messages, feedback, or support requests you send to us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and browser type, operating system, and IP address.
  • Pages visited, time spent, and interaction patterns within the Platform.
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6).

1.3 Information from Third Parties

If you sign in via a third-party authentication provider (e.g., Google), we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address as permitted by that provider and your account settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate your Career Intelligence (CI) Profile — the cross-pattern diagnostic synthesis that forms the core output of The Diagnosis.
  • Power Accountability features: pattern-tagging your goals, tracking behavioural patterns over time, and sharpening your diagnostic map through 90-day cycles.
  • Enable Consul sessions: sharing your diagnostic data with a human practitioner for 1:1 Debrief interpretation (only with your explicit consent at booking).
  • Operate and improve the Platform — including fixing bugs, developing new features, and ensuring system security.
  • Communicate with you: sending assessment results, session reminders, subscription updates, and (where opted in) product announcements.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription.
  • Comply with applicable law.

AI-assisted synthesis: Your assessment responses are processed using AI pattern-recognition to identify connections across domains. This synthesis is a tool, not a verdict. You retain full discretion to accept, reject, or contextualise any output. No automated decision with legal or similarly significant effect is made solely on the basis of this processing.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Razorpay (payments), Sarvam AI (voice transcription), cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — each bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Consul practitioners: your full diagnostic map is shared with a Consul practitioner only when you book a 1:1 Debrief Session and confirm sharing at the point of booking.
  • Legal compliance: where required by applicable Indian law, court order, or regulatory authority.
  • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you in advance.

4. Data Retention

Your diagnostic data and CI Profile are retained for as long as your account is active, and for up to 24 months after account closure — so you can return and compare across diagnostic cycles. Accountability and session records follow the same retention period. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7).

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data — including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain session state. We may use analytics cookies to understand Platform usage in aggregate. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings; this will not affect core functionality.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) and where applicable, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent for AI-assisted processing (note: this will limit your ability to receive a CI Profile).
  • Nominate a representative to exercise these rights on your behalf.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@contraminds.in. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The Platform is intended for professionals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the data promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or prominent in-Platform notice at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
